“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”- Mark Twain

Visiting Cali

Cali has been cool...

It's like another world from Florida, yet almost the same.  The roses grow like weeds here, there are lemon trees everywhere- almost begging you to make fresh lemonade...I've got to see a lot these past few weeks...Huntington Beach was the first place I really went...the sunset was stellar..

Did the tourist-y thing and went to downtown LA, took the subway to Universal, Hollywood, and all over...

Took a Saturday morning and went up to San Gabriel Canyon and did a river clean up, which was amazing...

Went to Venice Beach with the dogs and spent a day...so far my favorite spot- it was EXACTLY like what you see in television ;)
En route to Venice Beach we drove through downtown LA, saw Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, drove over Santa Monica BLVD, took Sunset all the way to the ocean, the drove was crazy cool...Saw the Santa Monica Pier (most all of these pics are on Facebook it was easier for me to upload them quickly that way), and took the Pacific Coast HWY to Venice.

So...with less than a week in counting now is crunch time.  Overall consensus of California: Beautiful, stunning, not too inflated price-wise, friendly people, a lot to do, and soo much more to explore that I know I will be back again and again.
