“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”- Mark Twain

Impromptu afternoon

'la piedra herrada'
We took an impromptu afternoon motorbike ride up and through the mountains to a magical place called Comasagua...my ears popped twice, the climate changed and everything glittered shades of emerald green. Rode through small towns freckled with dogs and beautiful children, mothers carrying clay water jugs atop their heads, and wise old cowboys.  Came to our destination and climbed to the top. A view only the birds know..it was celestial. Rode back as the sun began its decent- had a one on one with a descent sized bull (extremely scary), raced a street dog (he was brilliant-we were at least @40mph), had street food outside on a church service, and saw the sweetest grandmother smile...I'd say it was a close to perfect afternoon.

Your Life is Not a Practice Run

Your life is not a practice run...

Truth. It can be looked at I guess in 2 ways, either you always play it safe, never leave home, cover your bases, use precaution in thinking, decisions, love, life, etc.. Or you take chances, hold your breath then let it go, go on adventures, smile, grow, experience, learn, love wildly, mess up, correct your mistakes, and keep on trekking in this beautiful wild world. I choose the latter. Mistakes happen, life happens, sprinkle some precaution on this crazy whirlwind of a ride, but the important part- get on! Live it up, soak it up like a dry sponge and pay it all forward.

Thought for the beautiful new day, and new moon.***
