“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”- Mark Twain

Day one of many hiking days...

 Chatauqua Trailhead, Boulder, CO

Took a great hike (minus the getting lost several times) on one of the 155+ miles of hiking trails in/near Boulder.  Opted to bring Boston, and opted for the 4.2 mile trail= at least 6miles after getting lost + an 8 pound weight (Boston). Strolled, climbed, and hiked (with heads in the clouds*) this magical place.  Apple trees and raspberries glittered the trails...

Bees everywhere- wonderful:)
mariposa bonita- pic taken by a friend

Sat on these rocks that were formed into chairs and couches @ a place dubbed Rock Quarry

Saw views like this on every turn

Had a great day hiking, then some amazing food @Shine, got some Rocky Mountain Huckleberry black tea @Ku Cha House of Tea....and am about call it a day, all to do it again tomorrow..another day, another hike, another adventure.
(So he thinks he is a mountain climber....but has been passed out cold since we got home....)

Road Trippin week one

If you have ever been to Boulder you know Pearl Street. Its interactive, lovely, musical, colorful- with the most friendliest people and a vegan shop on every corner (perfect).

Visited a little town that gets some of the most snow in the whole state- Nederland. Small mining community with a beautiful lake and quaint shops.

Trip to Avery Brewing Company...

great local brewery, fantastic people working there, almost all the beers are Vegan friendly and are crazy good, had a fun afternoon before spending the night in downtown Denver.

Afternoon road trip to Breckenridge...

Twas a long day after a long night but totally worth it.  Drove through the mountains to Breckenridge.  Carved through the mountains are old mining towns, ridiculous scenery, and oddly enough- casinos...

Made it up pretty high- could see the snow caps and almost could touch the clouds...

Ended in Breckenridge and walked a short bit, turned around and drove the several hours back- because the drive is the reason for the trip:)

Welcome to the Rockies**

Beginning of month in Colorado..

I have to say, this travel bug doesn't seem to ever go away.  The last day of my trip to El Salvador.. was with a friend bathing in the Pacific with its healing water and magic black volcanic sand and met a gentleman who lived up in the mountains... has this farm, grows everything his family needs; his spirit was almost illuminating his physical body and we got to talking about the planets, the universe, and our very existence.  I walked away in awe and under the instruction to continue my reading to a very simple yet powerful book by Richard Bach- Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

I just finished the book.  Am taking flight, with the will and knowledge that everything will not only be ok, but amazing, that I am only at the beginning of my life's novel, and this feeling in itself is exciting. So begins another chapter.

Flew to CO late one Monday night, left the concrete jungle and woke to this:

The cabin is tucked away in the canyons, I can hear the river rushing over the rocks 24/7...the air is cleaner, the water actually tastes good, and yes there are stars.  Thank God.

But the weather is crazy..

Day 2

Snow day in early September, this place is another one Mother Nature's masterpieces- and she is exciting.

I quit my job today

September 4 2014

I walked out of my job today.

At this point I am excited, its time for change.  Some people believe that we all just need to settle down. To that I say- not all those who wander are lost.

My next 2 months will be an adventure.

Colorado for the next month, then  to El Salvador for October.  I heart migrating and soaking up as much brilliant life as I can.  Last month I spent a few days in El Salvador and the energy illuminating  from that place is magnetic.  It's too difficult to even put into words.

Must always have the most positive attitude.  Positive energy is what it's about, energy moves us and creates brilliance.

Short adventure to El Salvador

This place is Never- Never Land.  There are mermaids in the surf and fairies that glow all around you in the evening.  The black sand glistens like magic and the stars glow so bright you would swear its spray painted in the sky...

This post is brief- mainly a few cool shots, the trip was only 5 days long but thank God the days in this magnetic country seem to last longer- allowing you to feel like you are in a different galaxy where time is obsolete.

(note this is a experience in person country thus these pics barely scratch the justice surface)

Visiting Cali

Cali has been cool...

It's like another world from Florida, yet almost the same.  The roses grow like weeds here, there are lemon trees everywhere- almost begging you to make fresh lemonade...I've got to see a lot these past few weeks...Huntington Beach was the first place I really went...the sunset was stellar..

Did the tourist-y thing and went to downtown LA, took the subway to Universal, Hollywood, and all over...

Took a Saturday morning and went up to San Gabriel Canyon and did a river clean up, which was amazing...

Went to Venice Beach with the dogs and spent a day...so far my favorite spot- it was EXACTLY like what you see in television ;)
En route to Venice Beach we drove through downtown LA, saw Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, drove over Santa Monica BLVD, took Sunset all the way to the ocean, the drove was crazy cool...Saw the Santa Monica Pier (most all of these pics are on Facebook it was easier for me to upload them quickly that way), and took the Pacific Coast HWY to Venice.

So...with less than a week in counting now is crunch time.  Overall consensus of California: Beautiful, stunning, not too inflated price-wise, friendly people, a lot to do, and soo much more to explore that I know I will be back again and again.
